If the Aces defeat Savage, they will play the Cold Spring/Mankato winner at 4 p.m. Saturday for the Super Section’s No. 1 seed. If Red Wing loses, it would face the Cold Spring/Mankato loser at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Dundas defeats Red Wing

Determining the top seed to come from Section 1B, Dundas used a four-run eighth inning to pull away from Red Wing in a 5-0 victory Saturday in Dundas.

Charlie Ruud went 1-for-4 with three RBI for the Dukes, while Carson Jones drove in one run in the victory. Mike Ludwig was 4-for-4 with two runs scored for Dundas, which heads to the Austin Super Section to face Duluth on Friday.

The Aces finished with nine hits, with Zach Laffey going 3-for-5 and Adam Thygesen finishing 3-for-4 with a walk. Kyle Blahnik, Jimmy Bohmbach, Dave Jenson and Aaron Johnson each tallied hits in the loss.

Brady Schroeder was pegged with the loss after allowing six hits, five walks and five Dundas runs.

Red Wing heads into the Super Section with a 32-7 record.
