Industrial Pre-Treatment Wastewater Plant Upgrades
Phase II - Sludge Dewatering
Red Wing, Minnesota
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud by the City of Red Wing, Minnesota, at the City Hall, 315 West 4th Street, Red Wing, Minnesota 55066 in said city at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013, to construct the Industrial Pre-Treatment Plant Upgrades, Phase II-Sludge Dewatering as defined in the drawings and specifications. A general description of the work includes:
1.Installation Owner furnished dewatering equipment and pumps;
2.Polymer feed equipment and ancillary equipment;
3.Cast-in-place concrete storage tanks;
4.Electrical, and instrumentation and controls;
5.Process piping, plumbing and HVAC;
6.Renovation of pre-engineered precast concrete/steel building.
Plans and specifications as prepared by the City of Red Wing are on file and available for review during normal business hours at the City of Red Wing Public Works building, 229 Tyler Road North, Red Wing Minnesota. 55066
A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Red Wing Solid Waste Campus Administration Building Conference Room, 1873 Bench Street, Red Wing, Minnesota. A tour of the project site will be included. This will provide potential bidders with an opportunity to observe the existing facilities and discuss the project with the Owners Authorized Representative.
Complete sets of Bidding Documents and bidding instructions are available for downloading from the City of Red Wing website (www.red-wing.org) for a non-refundable fee of $20.00.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check payable to the City of Red Wing in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described in the bidding documents. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposits for the three lowest bidders will be retained by the Owner until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than ninety (90) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, in the best interest of the Owner.
