Teen strength training
This new program is designed for those in grades 9-12 who are interested in maximizing their performance. Teens will meet with a YMCA fitness staff member and learn which machines/exercises will help them the most. This program is great for someone just beginning. Open swim schedule
Monday -- 6:15-8:30 p.m. in the recreation pool; Tuesday and Wednesday -- 10-11 a.m., 1-4:30 p.m. and 6:15-8:30 p.m. in the rec pool; Thursday -- 10-11 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m. in the rec pool, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the lap pool; Friday -- 10-11 a.m. and 1-6 p.m. in the rec pool; Saturday -- 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the rec pool.
Water slide schedule
Tuesday -- 6:15-8:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday -- 1:30-4 p.m.
Kid's yoga has been postponed this week and will meet again Aug. 7.
Registration for fall swim lessons, gym and swim, parent/tot aqua class and gymnastics will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 26. To register for swim lessons, gym and swim, and parent/tot aqua class, a registration form must be completed and returned to the YMCA by 9 a.m. Aug. 26. Registration forms are available at the YMCA or at www.redwingymca.org. To register for gymnastics, parents may register in person, call 388-4724 or register online.
There will be a Youth Sports Association Fair
6-8 p.m. Aug. 14 at Red Wing High School. Parents and kids are invited to check out what sports are available for kids in the area. The fair is open to the public and will be held in the Courtyard Cafe.
