Red Wing was blanked 4-0 Tuesday night against the Eau Claire Cavaliers. It was just two days after losing a 3-0 game to Miesville in the championship game of the Dewey Tauer Tournament.

"We are just not getting quality at bats," Aces manager Corey Tauer said. "We aren't swinging at good pitches. We need to wait and find a pitch we can do something with instead of swinging at what the pitcher wants us to swing at."

The Aces were outhit 11-4 in the contest Tuesday and had two errors on defense while the Cavaliers were errorless. Red Wing got one single each from Cory Thorson, Steve Boldt, Jimmy Bohmbach and Brandon LaRue.

Yoshinori Muchioci was the winning pitcher for Eau Claire. He threw six innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four and walking three.

Augie Lindmark was tagged with the loss for the Aces. He pitched five and 2/3 innings. He gave up seven hits, four runs, walked three and fanned two. Jordan Warren came on in relief and tossed three and 1/3 innings. He allowed two hits and walked one.

"Jordan's pitching was the highlight of the game for us," Tauer said. "He threw really well in relief. It's nice to know we've got another arm we can use."

The Aces (16-5) resume play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with a home game against the Peekskill Tides from New York. Tauer said it'll be a great time for his squad to get back to the basics and get some runs on the board.

"We obviously don't know much about them," Tauer said. "We'll be looking to get some offense going."

Luke Halvorsen is scheduled to start.
