Concert in the Park

Bluegrass band Long Time Gone performs live in the park. Members include Leo Rosenstein on mandolin, Ben Manning on guitar, Katryn Conlin on string bass, Barry St. Mane on banjo and Mike Hildebrandt on fiddle. Head there early for dinner at this year's Corn in the Park. It runs from 5 to 7 p.m. or until the corn is gone.

Young Eagle Flight Rally

The Red Wing Chapter 1518 will hold a Young Eagle Flight Rally. The flights are designed to introduce youth ages 8 to 17 to the world of aviation. The experience includes a demonstration flight with one of the chapters FAA certified pilots, preflight and post flight briefings, viewing a short introductory video about General Aviation and participating in a tour of the different facilities at the Red Wing airport. Parental/custodial consent is required by signature -- there is a downloadable PDF form available on the website, forms will be available. Space is limited.
