Spotlight event

Wisconsin based blues-rock band Howard "Guitar" Luedtke & Blue Max hits up Widespot Performing Art Center, 7 p.m. Saturday June 15.

Luedtke is best known for his master skills on the slide guitar. He has been playing guitar since the arrival of the Beatles in 1964.

After playing with several rock, country and blues bands, Leudtke formed the Blue Max band. Joining him since 1987 is his wife, Deb Klossner on bass, along with drummers from all over the region.

Tickets can be purchased on Widespot's website at www.widespotperformingarts.org.

Wine, craft beer, soda, and water are available at the WideSpot cash bar located inside the theater.

Young Eagle Flight Rally

The Red Wing EAA Chapter 1518 holds its Young Eagle Flight Rally. The flights are designed to introduce youth ages 8 to 17 to the world of aviation. The experience includes a demonstration flight with one of the chapters FAA certified pilots, preflight and post flight briefings, viewing a short introductory video about aviation and touring the facilities at the Red Wing Regional Aiirport. Parental/custodial consent is required by signature. There is a downloadable PDF form available on the website, forms will be available.
