Phantoms Motor/Model Club in cooperation with Red Wing's Downtown Main Street, is sponsoring the annual Father's Day Car Show Sunday June 16 featuring "Drivers and Survivors."

Cars from 1909 will be well represented including a Franklin, Brush and Buick. Also look for a 1911 Buick, fire truck and other pre-war vehicles.

The show will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Third Street, downtown Red Wing.

Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 200 cars. The show is free to participants and spectators.

Awards will be given to the wildest, hottest, hippest, grooviest, club choice, kids choice, family choice and others. Special awards will be trophy cakes, courtesy of Hanisch Bakery.

Youth ages 15 and under are encouraged to make and take their own model cars. Find the booth by the Sheldon Theatre.

Downtown Main Street also will have Hot Wheel races for the youth to enjoy.

Hear live entertainment from Community with Mike Murhpy, playing classic car tunes.

Please bring food items for the Red Wing Area Food Shelf.

Young Eagle Flight Rally

The Red Wing EAA Chapter 1518 is pleased to announce the Young Eagle Flight Rally. The flights are designed to introduce youth ages 8 to 17 to the world of aviation. The experience includes a demonstration flight with one of the chapters FAA certified pilots, preflight and post flight briefings, viewing a short introductory video about General Aviation and participating in a tour of the different facilities at the Red Wing airport. Parental/custodial consent is required by signature - there is a downloadable PDF form available on the website, forms will be available. Space is limited.
