Spotlight event

Hop on the Three Rivers Wine Trail and join in for the annual event "Tap the Barrel" from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26.

Each winery -- including the Cannon River Winery, Falconer Vineyards, Northern Vineyards Winery, Saint Croix Vineyards and Winehaven Winery and Vineyard -- will provide samples from the cask to mark the beginning of another growing season and to remember the fruits of last year's labor.

Pick up a wine trail passport and get it stamped at each winery to get a free glass of wine.

Musician Michael Loonan provides free live music from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and hear Don Paulson from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Cannon River Winery in Cannon Falls.
