CITY OF RED WING: Ad For Bids- 2018 Sewer Rehabilitation

2018 Sewer Rehabilitation
Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) Installation
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received, publicly opened and read aloud by the City of Red Wing, Minnesota, at the City Hall, 315 West 4th Street, Red Wing, Minnesota 55066 in said city at 1:30 p.m. on May 3, 2018 to construct the 2018 Sewer Rehabilitation Project – Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Installation as defined in the specifications. A general description of the work includes:
1. Cleaning and televising approximately 11,340 feet of 8" sanitary sewers;
2. Installation and operation of bypass pumping around piping segments as they are being lined;
3. Installation of approximately 11,340 feet 8" cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining; and
4. Post CIPP installation televising.
Plans and specifications as prepared by the City of Red Wing are on file and available for review during normal business hours at the City of Red Wing Public Works building, 229 Tyler Road North, Red Wing Minnesota. 55066.
Complete sets of Bidding Documents and bidding instructions are available for downloading from the City of Red Wing website (www.red-wing.org) for a non-refundable fee of $20.00.
Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check payable to the City of Red Wing in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee that the Bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described in the bidding documents. This deposit will be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposits for the three lowest bidders will be retained by the Owner until the contract has been awarded and executed, but no longer than ninety (90) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening.
Bidders must include a Responsible Contractor Verification and Certification of Compliance with their bids. The forms are included with the bidding documents.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, in the best interest of the Owner.
