Notice is hereby given that Goodhue County will receive Bids at the address below until May 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. local time, for the 2014 Generator Installation at which time Bids will be publicly opened and tabulated according to law.
General summary of Work to be performed:
Work includes installation of an Owner-procured standby natural gas generator at the Government Center building. The work includes modifications to the existing electrical distribution system within the Government Center and modifications to the electrical service to the building.
Work shall be in accordance with the Bidding Documents, including the Project Manual and Drawings, which are on file at the office of Stanley Consultants, Inc. A base set of Bidding Documents consisting of one electronic PDF file containing the Project Manual and Drawings may be obtained from:

Parties that request the Project Manual and Drawings and need to have them printed elsewhere are solely responsible for those printing costs. The sale of paper copies for this project is not available.
A prebid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 15, 2014 at the Goodhue County Government Center, Room 308. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project.
All Bids shall be submitted in triplicate, on forms provided with the Project Manual, on or before the time specified above, to the following address:

Bid Due Date: 10:00 a.m., May 29, 2014
Each Bid shall be accompanied, in a separate sealed envelope, by Bid security in an amount of not less than 5% of the Bid. Bid Bonds must be executed by corporations authorized to contract as Surety in the State of Minnesota and in a form described in the Contract Documents. Bid security shall be forfeited if the Bidder fails or refuses to sign and deliver a signed Agreement and furnish required contract security.
Upon notification of award, Successful Bidder shall furnish contract security in the form of performance and payment bonds described in the Contract Documents.
Performance of the Work will start within 10 calendar days after date of Notice to Proceed, and shall be completed within the time stated in the Contract Documents.
The Owner reserves the right to defer acceptance of any Bid for a period not to exceed 60 calendar days after the date Bids are to be received.
The Owner reserves the right to consider such factors as time of completion of the Work, materials and methods of construction, experience and responsibility of the Bidder, and similar factors in determining which Bid it deems to be in its best interests.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any Bid and to accept the Bid which it deems to be in the best interest of the Owner.
