MSC Southeast and area schools cancel classes for Jan. 22

Thursday, January 9, 2014 - 11:20pm

Notice is hereby given that the City of Red Wing Advisory Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 7:00 p.m., to hear and make a recommendation on a Variance request by Plaas Incorporated, 1427 Old West Main Street, to construct a 775 square foot (approximate) building addition on the rear of their existing building at 1427 Old West Main Street. The proposed addition would be constructed to the east, south, and west property lines and would result in the parcel being covered 100% by impervious surfaces. The property is located in the (MC) Mixed-Use Industrial/Office Commercial zoning district, which allows zero setbacks but only allows 80% coverage of the parcel. The proposal also requires a variance due to the fact that no off-street parking will be provided on-site for the proposed addition.
The legal description of this property is as follows:
Plat and Parcel No. 55-535-0420
The Westerly 50 feet six inches of Lot 5, Block 3, of SWENEY’S ADDITION, City of Red Wing, Goodhue County, Minnesota, and part of vacated railroad right-of-way. More commonly known as 1427 Old West Main Street.
Written or oral comments to said application may be presented at this public hearing or filed with the City Clerk prior to this hearing. Each response will be duly considered and evaluated before any formal action is taken by the Planning Commission to make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will consider and evaluate all responses made at the Planning Commission Public Hearing and the Planning Commission’s recommendation. No additional oral comments will be presented at the City Council meeting prior to a decision by the City Council unless specifically requested by the City Council.
