Museum to host Valentine's Family Fun Day
On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Goodhue County Historical Society will host Family Fun Day. The museum will have a Valentine's Day-themed afternoon, featuring crafts and activities. Exhibit halls will be open to view as well as the traveling exhibit, "New Land, New Life: Norwegian Immigration to Minnesota, 1825-1925" and a new exhibit on Cherry Grove Township.
Inspired by author Rachel Bright's book series, the love monster has always felt like he didn't belong in a world of cute, fluffy things. Design a love monster and hear his story of finding love through a reading of Bright's book at 1 and 2 p.m. Guests can also create a special bear magnet or color a valentine.
The museum will be open free of charge. Hours are 9 a.m. Feb. 4, but free admission and activities start at noon.
