Riedell is business awards finalist

Riedell Shoes was a finalist for the 2013 Minnesota Family Business Awards.

There were five winners named, as well as four other finalists.

The winners will be celebrated at an event Thursday Nov. 7 at the Hilton Minneapolis. A cocktail reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at the program. Tickets are $100. To register, visit

• Three Oaks Angus Farm in Cannon Falls is a new member of the American Angus Association.

The organization, with nearly 25,000 active adult and junior members, is the largest beef breed association in the world. Its records include detailed information on more than 17 million registered Angus.

The group records ancestral information, keeps production records on animals and develops selection tools.
