BALLAD re-imagines the Celtic folktale of the seal woman-or selkie. This award-winning show (2010 Fringe Outstanding Performance, Direction, & Production) is a timeless fable, a fisherman falls in love with a beautiful seal-woman, & marries her. But a love that defies the laws of land & sea is never simple, & the selkie must make a choice. Her heart or her home? Using song & movement to portray characters, story, sound- & landscape, TLA creates a world that is as magical as it is moving.
